Dubai Electronic Security Center and World Bank Group to host first Global Government Cloud Forum in Dubai

Forum will bring together 350 delegates including over 100 government officials, 50 speakers and over 30 leaders in government cloud technology innovation, from across the world Event to be held on 21 January, 2025, at the Museum of the Future Forum aims to drive innovative cloud solutions that can shape the future of public sector digital transformation worldwide Government of Dubai Media Office – 23 December 2024: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,  Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, the Dubai Electronic Security Center (DESC) in collaboration with the World Bank Group, will be hosting the Global Government Cloud Forum on 21 January, 2025, at the Museum of the Future, Dubai. The forum will bring together over 350 delegates, including more than 100 international government officials, over 50 global speakers, and more than 30 leaders in government cloud technology innovation. The event aims to reshape the future of cloud computing and harness its vast potential to drive innovation and advance the digital economy.

The forum is set to be a key gathering for thought leaders and decision-makers, focusing on how cloud technologies can transform public administration, improve governance, and support sustainable development across the globe. The forum will explore vital topics such as Artificial Intelligence , IoT, Quantum Computing,  Sustainable Cloud Solutions, and Cloud for Development, all of which align with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33’s goal to make Dubai a global leader in technology and innovation.

The forum will feature a series of keynote addresses, panel discussions, and case studies from global leaders in cloud computing. Key themes include multi-cloud strategies, data sovereignty, and AI and machine learning in government, with a special emphasis on how cloud technologies are accelerating the UAE’s commitment to sustainability and environmental goals.

Attendees will gain insights into successful cloud implementations in government, as well as the potential of quantum computing and disaster recovery solutions across diverse sectors.

The forum’s agenda will also feature breakout sessions focusing on emerging topics such as green cloud initiatives, the role of AI in enhancing public services, and the future of cloud security in the public sector. Experts will also discuss regulatory compliance challenges in cloud adoption and share best practices for safeguarding data.
