Dubai Electronic Security Center (DESC) – has opened registration for its cybersecurity bootcamp, developed by Dubai Cyber Innovation Park to train new employees, fresh graduates and university seniors from any background on the field of cybersecurity.
The program will be launched on July 18, offering daily sessions for five consecutive weeks, starting at the Dubai Cyber Innovation Park in Business Bay. A series of training modules in cybersecurity will be held, allowing participants to enhance their skills and ability to effectively and quickly address practical cyber skills required in the job field. Bootcamp participants will also experience scenarios that simulate reality and offer participants a comprehensive and intensive training experience.
Dr Bushra Al Blooshi, Deputy Director of the Information Services Department at DESC, said: “Dubai Cyber Innovation Park and the training programs it offers play a critical role towards promoting knowledge and building expertise among new employees and fresh graduates in the field of cybersecurity. This bootcamp provides an opportunity for the trainees to develop their cyber capabilities and skills, and we look forward to enabling and empowering them to assume leading positions in this field in both the public and private sectors.”
The bootcamp will cover several key topics, from introducing the participants to cyber and network security processes, to evaluating common vulnerabilities in web applications that may lead to cyberattacks.
The program also outlines ways for trainees to gain a clearer view of security challenges in cloud environments and understand the requirements for securing them. Participants learn to write programming languages that adhere to cybersecurity best practices, and explore various tactics to respond to cyberattacks. The course provides a thorough explanation of encryption processes and methods and their importance in cybersecurity, along with the best procedures for generating reports for different levels of management.
